NSX Legenda Yang Lahir Kembali

Supercar legendaris Honda, NSX muncul di film terbaru superhero, Avengers. Terlihat NSX menggunakan lambang Acura, sebagai merek mewah varian Honda di Amerika Serikat.

Seperti dilansir laman Autoevolution, Kamis 6 Oktober 2011, mobil sport itu terlihat di Central Park, New York, bersama pemeran Iron Man, Robert Downey Jr, yang ada di belakang kemudi. Penampilan yang garang membuat para penggemarnya terpukau.

Enam bulan lalu, CEO Honda Takanobu Ito memang mengisyaratkan akan kebangkitan NSX. Ia mengatakan Honda ingin meluncurkan sebuah mobil sport performa tinggi. “Kami sedang membuat kemajuan dengan rencana untuk sebuah mobil sport eksotis seperti NSX,” kata dia.

Sebuah sumber mengatakan, Honda Dual Note 4WD sebagai mobil konsep hibrida Tokyo Motor Show 2001, dengan menggunakan teknologi NSX. Mesin yang digunakan V6 3,5-liter untuk menggerakkan roda belakang dan motor listrik untuk menghidupkan bagian depan. Mesin dapat menghasilkan daya lebih dari 400bhp.

Sepuluh tahun kemudian, Honda masih menyempurnakan teknologi NSX. Honda ingin membangun sebuah supercar sekaligus menciptakan paket teknologi baru. Honda merakit mesin V6 VTEC antara 3,5-3,7 liter, sedangkan motor listrik twin set-up akan didukung oleh baterai lithium-ion dan menggunakan sistem plug-in yang bisa mengisi ulang dengan listrik daya kecil.

Mobil ini menggunakan body aluminium agar lebih ringan. Kabarnya akan segera masuk pasar otomotif pada 2014. Harga yang disiapkan menyaingi Nissan GT-R yakni sekitar 65.000 poundsterling atau Rp901 juta. Viva
